Digital Woodworking is the process of blending traditional woodworking techniques with modern Digitally controlled tooling. Examples are CNC Routers, Laser Cutters, 3D Carvers, CNC Table Saws, CNC Thickness Planers, CNC Miter Saws all driven by computer aided design software. Computer Numerical Control is being added to traditional machinery that has been around since being powered by a river before electric motors became commonplace. We most often rely on two large format CNC routers. A 49" x 97" and a 51" x 121" with a vacuum table. A 4th axis can be placed on the flatbed routers to offer CNC turning, 3D carving, morticing or complex joinery.

This Digitally controlled milling equipment is used to make parts and projects for wood workers, cabinet makers, furniture makers, builders, carpenters, form makers, theater technicians, home owners and hobbyists. We have produced prototypes, architectural restoration items, musical instruments, sculptures, decorative panels, and too much more to mention.

We can handcraft your custom design or offer design / CAD services to assist in the realization of your dream project.

Digital Woodworking of Oak Panel Insert
Digital Woodworking of Oak Panel Insert
This is from a series of Digitally milled solid oak design elements that create a larger panel system. The finished panel became the front of a bar for a commercial client and installed in a major retailer as a display for clothing line.
Achitectural Restoration of Column Base
Architectural Restoration of Column Base
Column base milled from 8/4 locally harvested and kiln dried solid polar for a builder restoring old houses. Though the CNC produced a simple round over that could be done with a router, more complex molding shapes could be milled.

Brich Ply and Acrylic Lamp
Example of joinery using the CNC. The mating rabbet joint in the acrylic is the opposite of the rabbet in the plywood edge. If the edge was straight this could be done with a outer. CNC makes for easy milling of the wavy shape and rabbet at the same time.
